What is a B&B?

The concept of a B&B was born in Europe, but in the 1960s it was introduced in the United States and is now known all over the world.

Basically, it is a simple accommodation in a house with no more than 7 or 8 rooms, which has been restored or refurbished for this purpose.

It is characterized by a familiar and homely atmosphere, as it is usual for the owners of the B&B to live in the same building.

Today there are B&Bs of different kinds, with greater or lesser specialization and quality of services, designer, modern, classic, rural or super urban, eco-friendly, cheap or expensive, chain or family-run.

They are not cabins or hostels. It is a tourist figure with its own characteristics.
