Location: Los Morteritos Valley - Potrerillos - Luján de Cuyo (located within the Cordón del Plata Provincial Park)

Difficulty: Low to medium: Aimed at an audience that occasionally practices some type of physical activity, whether it be a sport, going for a walk or going to the gym.

Description

In this experience we will enter the first mountainous branches of our province of Mendoza, specifically in the Frontal Mountain Range where we will enjoy views of the famous Cordón de Plata and the Potrerillos dam. To do so, it is not necessary to have previous experience in the world of mountaineering since we will be able to meet the objectives during one day in a total of approximately 4 hours of trekking.

Main points of interest: The activity takes place within the Cordón del Plata Provincial Park, where the geological landscape of the front mountain range and pre-mountain range stands out. The area is of great archaeological interest, where a mortar is found that alludes to the name Valle de los Morteritos.

Possibilities for wildlife sightings: Guanaco, fox, condor, among a large number of birds.

Tentative itinerary to follow:

· 10 AM. We leave the SILVER CORD complex after finishing breakfast heading to Puesto Las Lajas

· 10:30 am. We start the trekking activity to Cerro Mailhos

· 13:00 hs. Time of attempt to reach the summit

- 14:30. We return to Puesto Las Lajas and move back to the SILVER CORD complex to enjoy a Creole lunch.
